The declared range of a full charge is 470 km, which turned out to be a real feature, and not just a marketing slogan. We put the car completely and put it back, leaving a third of the “tank”, we covered a lot of space (we drove somewhere around 250-300 km – I don’t remember the exact amount). Of course, that can’t be said in the winter, when I’m willing to bet this car (like all electrics) only gets a little more than half of its advertised amount. I can’t say for sure, since I didn’t look at it during the winter, I’m just giving information received from others.
This car had a different configuration that has several modes – Comfort, Dynamic, etc., but of course, in such a car, comfort is what you want. Even on the big 20-inch wheels, it does an excellent job of soaking up the bumps and potholes our beautiful Romanian roads have to offer. Dynamic lowers the car significantly, and this has its advantages and disadvantages. The upside is that it (somewhat) strengthens body control, making it more stable in corners, but the downside is that almost every imperfection of the road can be felt in the cabin.
Of course, packing the car with batteries makes it very heavy (more than 2.1 tonnes), which is not very good when it comes to handling. Although it claims to have a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, you really feel the weight shift from one side to the other when you turn into a corner. However, it handles well considering its size, due to its low center of gravity.
As with all electric vehicles, regenerative braking takes some of the energy that would normally be lost when you take off and hit the brakes to slow down. But when you turn the I-Pace to its maximum setting, the effect is so strong that you get that

All I-Paces move away from traditional analog instrument dials in favor of a stunning 12.3-inch digital display that allows the driver to choose exactly what information they want displayed in front of them. It’s a little difficult to use at first (the whole infotainment system), but once you get used to it and understand everything, it’s not too bad. Just below the main infotainment screen is another touchscreen that controls things like the weather and the top of the stairs. One cool feature of this car is that you control the heated/cooled seats with two rotary switches that you press to switch between settings – very, very cool!
