tried to predict what this would look like through unofficial depictions, based on recent spy shots around Munich.

The facelift model will receive updates at the front and rear. The prototypes we’ve seen in the wild try to hide both ends with camouflage. These renders, however, show what we already know, like the revised front grille and lower bumper intakes.
The rear is similar to the previous model. However, there will be a recessed section in the center for a 3D effect. Other elements appear to have been retained, including the M-exclusive quad exhausts that flank the diffuser.
The updates may be minimal, but they should be enough to keep the high-performance SUV up to date. If these odds are accurate, then we are looking at a very handsome knight.
The renderings don’t show the expected updates for the facelifted X5 M. These improvements should include the new iDrive 8, which is housed in a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instruments. They are also expected to arrive for the facelifted BMW 3 Series.
Bmw X5 M Competition Pros And Cons: We’ve All Been Missing Out
BMW is reluctant to provide updates on the LCI models, which we believe will be the same for the X5 M. That said, the powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is expected to come with the facelifted model. with 617 hp.

The BMW X5 M is quite powerful with its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 625 horsepower and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. Manhart increases the SUV’s output to 730 hp and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. The receiver achieves extra performance with the MHtronik power box and stainless steel exhaust system.

The tuner also modifies the exterior appearance of the X5 M with various carbon parts. At the front, Manhart added a new front spoiler and new apron and radiator grille inserts. On the sides, the SUV gets two-piece side skirts. The rear gets a new diffuser and a two-piece spoiler below the rear window.
Manhart also uses M Performance parts to spruce up the model, borrowing carbon fiber mirrors, a carbon roof spoiler, and carbon exhausts for the MHX5 700. The tuner also mounts 23-inch Classic-Line Y-Spoke wheels in trim silky matte black, filling the wheel wells. The SUV gets Manhart coilover shock absorbers from KW Suspensions.
Inside, the Manhart is a little more understated in its styling. The aftermarket specialist adds new carpets, shifters and a carbon fiber steering wheel.
The MHX5 700 joins the more powerful MXH5 800, which has even more power. Manhart tuned the MHX5 800 to produce 823 hp and 797 lb-ft of torque. It debuted a few years ago with 22-inch forged wheels and a ride height that was 1.18 inches (30 mm) lower than stock.

Manhart’s new update is no match for the redesigned X5 M that BMW launched earlier this year. The automaker tweaked its styling and added a 48-volt mild hybrid system to add a touch of power, but its performance remained unchanged. We can’t wait to see Manhart get his hands on the remastered version to see what the receiver can get out of it. It’s the M car people want now, not the one they need. The BMW X5 M Competition combines the powertrain of BMW’s magnificent M5 supersaloon with the bodywork, elevated driving position and go-go, I’m overdue for a date with the weight room attitude of BMW’s mid-size X5. The global thirst for SUVs means the X7 and a future X8 now lead the X5 and X6 twins in BMW’s SUV rankings. An X5 is nothing close to a flagship these days.
Not that the X5 M lacks… anything, actually. In the UK, they only flog us the top-of-the-range competition version, because what kind of self-respecting pit could be used with just 592 hp in use? The Comp’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 has been retuned to 616 hp, though torque remains constant at 553 lb-ft.
The result is a school bus that comes out like greasy feces from a garden shovel. Engage launch control and the X5 M accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds. If you want to hit 120 mph, this powerhouse dump truck will get you there in 13.4 seconds – 0.3 seconds faster than the poor, pathetic man’s X5 M. Loser. Spend £2,100 on the optional M Driver’s Package and your top speed jumps from 155mph to 190mph. Is there a word in German for “enough”?
All that punch means the X5 M Comp is a bargain. Stick with us here – this monsterwagen is almost as fast as a Lamborghini Urus or a Bentley Bentayga Speed. It is equally well equipped, accommodates the same number of people in space and comfort, but costs just £110,610. We have just saved £60,000.

The X5 M Comp is the closest BMW will come to building an M5 estate, but this isn’t a full-blown M5. Although it shares the same engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel-focused all-wheel-drive system, someone at M headquarters had the good sense to ditch the M5’s rear-wheel-drive mode. They were probably fired soon after.
While you can’t fully disengage the front axles on the side of the iDrive button, BMW says “controlled drifts” are possible in the X5 M when you activate 4WD Sport mode, turn off traction control and activate a wide swath of open space. .for the afternoon. Gatwick Airport would do. Or New Mexico.
Underneath, there’s very little left of the standard X5. The M’s engine mounts are stronger, as are the suspension underpinnings. You get adaptive dampers with body roll response. The cooling and oil systems are approved for track use. There’s more camber, fatter tires, huge brakes, and you can even change the feel via the brake pedal for no good reason we can think of.
For £110,000 you’d expect a lot of kit. You have 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch wheels at the rear. There’s a menacing quad exhaust kit, hideous illuminated ‘M’ patterns on the multi-adjustable leather seats and a practical split tailgate that won’t impress any of the farmers who buy one.

Oh, and there’s no hybrid system buried in the car’s bowels. No 48-volt boost or Eco mode. This is a full-fat BMW, no blood and thunder, zero crossover. Greener hell than the Green Party.
Whether or not you like the idea of German super-SUVs, there’s no denying that most of them – Porsche’s Cayenne, the rugged Audi’fied Urus and several AMG 4x4s – are very impressive pieces of engineering, even if their morals are reduced. . BMW’s M Division tanks range from so-so (the old X5 M, for example) to downright cheap (we’re looking at you, X3 M.)
So this time has BMW pulled a true performance hero out of the bag or has it given the world a 180 mph pudding it doesn’t need and doesn’t deserve?
There’s probably no car on sale today that’s as configurable as the X5 M. Getting into this thing for a spin is like turning on your Xbox for a quick 15-minute game and finding out it needs to download fifty terabytes of updates. Those M1 and M2 favorite settings keys will come in handy if you want to take advantage of this madman’s vast reserves of computing power – and horsepower – every morning. This thing is the definition of “over the top”.
Hamman’s Update For The Bmw X5 M Screams Domination
What sets the X5 M Competition apart from the rest of the super-SUV pack is the respect it commands on smooth roads. This isn’t a multi-story teleportation affair like an Audi, Bentley or even Lamborghini’s Germanic Urus.
Maybe M Division was hurt by the idea of no longer making sharp cars for serious drivers. Either way, the X5 M Comp can be quite difficult. No human being on the planet needs that much power from their family SUV. Even an X5 M50i already has Mickey and is £35,000 cheaper. You could spend it on a Golf GTI.
The X5 M has a lot more AMG DNA – and maybe even a bit of demon-possession swagger from the Range Rover Sport SVR – lurking there than BMW would like to admit. Someone on the disconnect team enjoyed flying a GLC 63, we bet.
